Red, White, and Blue Celebrity Style

With the 4th of July holiday coming to an end, we are taking a look back through some of our favorite patriotic inspired celebrity bikinis! From Charlize to Candice each of these fabulous ladies has picked a style and color that works for them. With so many options to choose from you can wear red, white and blue year round.

Charlize Theron and Kate Hudson both look amazing in these red bikinis. Charlize is rocking a bright triangle top bikini. This classic suit is great for those with a fuller bust because it provides more support. Are you more of a pear shape? Try a suit like Kate Hudson's. The bandeau top is flattering on pears because it draws the attention up to your top and helps to create a more hourglass figure.

Looking to sizzle in a red bikini? Shop the look with the below styles and more.

Do you enjoy the clean crisp look of white? No color shows off a tan better than a white bathing suit. Kim Kardashian is one of our favorite bikini clad examples of how flattering white can be on sun kissed skin. She often opts for a white suit while having fun in the sun. She also chooses styles that accentuate her hourglass figure. Kate Upton also sticks to similar suit styles as an apple she
wants to find suits that are supportive on the top to keep any unnecessary attention away from her midsection.

Ready to try a white hot suit of your own shop these suits and more below!

Are you inspired by the ocean or the sky? Then blue is more your color. Paris Hilton and Candice Swanepoel both look amazing in varying shades of this calming color. If you're looking for something sexy and fun try a suit like Paris' with cut outs all over. This suit can be flattering on a variety of body shapes depending on where the cut outs are. Candice is wearing a suit that is great for apples and hourglass shapes. The top has underwire which is great for providing additional support. The multi string bottom is a great way to add detail and still keep the bottom simple and classic.

It's a 4th of July Celebration!

What better way to celebrate our independence this 4th of July than by spending time with friends and family. The 4th is the quintessential summer time holiday. As one of the Senior Editors here at AWB I am more than excited to be heading off to the lake to celebrate. There is nothing more classic than celebrating the holiday floating in a lake, barbecuing, having a few beers, and enjoying some fireworks.

But like all of our editors I am constantly plagued by the thought that I will get there only to find out that I forgot to pack one of my essential items. So this year I created a checklist to ensure that my vacation goes off without a hitch. I plan to spend every moment I can hanging out in the sun, which makes light weight essentials that easily fit in my bag key.

1.) First, and most importantly, don't forget a bathing suit. If you remember nothing else remember this. Have fun with your suit this 4th of July. Wear a patriotic color, or try out a fun, fresh print.

2.) Next up, grab a bright and colorful towel. It will help you to stand out on the sand and you will be able to easily locate where you are when coming back out of the water.

3.) SUNSCREEN! Yes I am yelling because it is so important for a long weekend in the sun to make sure you are constantly applying sunscreen. Don't let a sunburn get in the way of your fun.

4.) Sunglasses are a must. Besides allowing you to people watch without being caught, they protect your eyes from the suns harmful rays. They also make reading out on the beach so much easier.

5.) Reading materials. Whether you are an old school traditionalist and prefer the comforts of books and magazines, or you are high tech and love the endless library of your tablet, bringing something to read is always a great idea.

6.) Water, water, water. It's important to stay hydrated while spending the day at the beach. That is not to say that having a few beers in between isn't an awesome plan, because it is, but just be sure to drink plenty of water while having fun in the sun.

7.) A great shade of nail polish. I don't generally carry my nail polish to the beach with me but I do count it as an essential because nothing says summer fun like a bright bold nail! So change up your regular nail polish before your trip and see what a great color can really do for you!

8.) Last but certainly not least is a beach bag. Find something that you love and make sure it is large enough to carry all of your essential items.

No matter what you decide to bring on your trip this holiday weekend, we here at AWB want to wish you a Happy 4th of July and look forward to hearing how you spent your holiday!

Bikini Outfit of the Day: Little Black Bikini

It has been a well known secret of women that black makes us look thinner, and for all intents and purposes this is true. The concept that all black, or all dark colors, makes us appear thinner is for a multitude of reasons. It creates a monochromatic streamline for the eye which isn't broken up by other colors, making you appear longer and thinner. Dark colors also help to hide any bunching or curves in the fabric which would be more visible in lighter colors. When wearing black these imperfections are more difficult to see and therefore creates a more slimming look. The same is true when it comes to a Little Black Bikini (LBB). It helps to hide some of our flaws and always creates a sophisticated, put together look. Below we have selected our favorite LBB for each body shape. By selecting a style that flatters your body type and adds in the slimming effect of dark solid colors, these looks are sure to become your go to LBB.

Bikini Outfit of The Day: White Hot!

With Summer finally here, what better way to show off your tan skin than in a white hot outfit. Everyone knows that wearing white makes your tan pop so we are showing you the best way to wear an all white outfit. This look is perfect for hanging out by the pool, shopping, or meeting up with friends for dinner by the beach.

When we say all white we mean just that, but don't get carried away with trying to match all of your whites. Look for varying shades to add dimension to the outfit. For this look we started with one of our favorite white bikinis, the PilyQ Barcelona Water Lily Bikini. This suit features tie side bottoms and laser cutout detailing. Next we selected a classic short that is casual enough to wear during the day but provides enough structure that they can easily be transitioned into night should the occasion allow. We paired this with a lace tank to add a little feminine touch and a white and gold statement necklace. Finishing off the look is a white and gold cross body bag, neutral colored sandals, sparkling white nail polish, and the perfect pair of sunglasses.

The Best Suit For Your Shape: Rectangle

So you think you might be a rectangle? Fret not as you are in great company. Cameron Diaz, Gwyneth Paltrow, Natalie Portman and Nicole Kidman are just a few of the many celebrities who have traditional rectangle body shapes.

Rectangles generally are the same width on the top and bottom. The appearance of the rectangle comes into play as the waist is often not well defined. Defining one's waist is the best tip for all rectangles to keep in mind. By doing so it helps to create the illusion of an hourglass figure.

Look for one-piece suits that cinch or have vertical or diagonal stripes at the waist. When shopping for bikinis stick to tops that provide additional support. Unlike many other shapes rectangles can draw attention to their top section. Feel free to try florals, prints, ruffles and fringe. When it comes to the bottoms, side ties can be your best friend. They are the most flattering and their adjustability allows you to further cinch your waist as needed.

Bikini Outfit of the Day!

Our bikini outfit of the day was inspired by a day at sea. Whether you're out on your boat, a friend's, or renting while on vacation, this is the perfect outfit for boating fun. We starting out with this great Palm Strings Sirena Wrap Bikini from Vitamin A. This wrap around style provides great support which makes this an ideal suit for water activities as well as lounging around on deck. We paired this bikini with khaki shorts and a white cropped tank to give a cute, carefree look while docked on shore for lunch! The addition of this open crochet navy cardigan provides just enough warmth to keep you comfortable in the late afternoon as the sun sets and the wind starts cooling everything down. To finish off our look we added a delicate gold necklace, a pair of boat shoes, and Ciate London's Boudoir red nail polish to add a pop of color.  With our outfit complete we are finally ready to set sail!

What is your favorite boating outfit?
