Designer Spotlight: DESPI

With so many great swimwear collections out there it's sometimes hard to stand out in a crowd. Somehow Brazilian designer Despina Filios has not only managed to stand out, but stands heads above the rest.  Despi launched in 2007 and has been taking the world by storm. Her suits have been featured in some of the top fashion magazines around the world. Inspired by the vibrant life in Rio de Janeiro her collections reflect the color, style, and patterns that make Despi one of a kind. They are known for their playful, flirty and sophisticated style with exaggerated detail and embellishments such as leather, stones, crystal and beading. 

One of the things that Despi's loyal customers love about the brand is the coverage options they provide. Their suits come in both Full and Brazilian cut which really caters to the demands for a variety of options when it comes to coverage.

With such a wide variety of cuts and styles picking just one suit from their newest collection may be hard to do. So if you are struggling to decide I say buy them all! Behind the Scenes: How to pack for Sao Paulo, Brazil

Fashion shows and market events are some of the most stressful and most exciting times for us here at All Wet Beachwear. It is where we get to see who and what is up and coming. This year has been no exception. Our very own Senior Buyer is currently preparing for her amazing trip to Sao Paulo, Brazil for the Brazil Association of Fashion Designers (ABEST). This year we thought it would be a great idea to give our readers a little behind the scenes action on all of the fun!

While the designers are definitely getting our full attention, a trip to Sao Paulo wouldn't be complete without a little site seeing. As bathing suit lovers and sun worshippers ourselves we will inevitably make time to stop by the beach. With so much to see and do we really need to start packing. Elle Brazil October 2012

More Iza! Izabel Goulart, the model featured in the current Cia.Maritima campaign that we shared last week, has a vibrant editorial in the current issue of Elle Brazil. Two standout pieces in the editorial include a strappy yellow and leopard monokini from Cia.Maritima 2013 collection and a futuristic crop top with fringe lined arms by Brazilian designer Triya. We were equally pleased to see the addition of so many toned male models lol. What is not to like?
