The Seasons Must Have Silhouette!

The Season Must Have Silhouette: Say YES to Wearing Off-the-Shoulder Tops or Strapless Swimwear. The shoulder-baring look has officially crossed the clavicle to go from trend of the moment to wardrobe mainstay.

Here’s everything you need to know to master this seasons must-have.

Freeing those shoulders means introducing a few new steps to your regimen:

Go for the glow with a dusting bronzer over your collarbone to play up beachy, off-the-shoulder styles for day, or sweep on a superfine, shimmery highlighter after the sun sets to embody all-out evening/ boardwalk glam.

Apply—and reapply!—sunscreen to exposed shoulders to avoid the fashion-girl take on the dreaded farmer’s tan, but skip body lotions and oils that can cause your strapless bra or swimwear to slide down.

With a silhouette this statement-making, bold accessories help balance out your major look-at-me moment! Don't be understated this time—go big or go home with earrings like oversized hoops, colorful dusters that frame the face while teasingly sweeping bare shoulders.

How To: Transition Your Summer Dresses Into Your Fall Wardrobe

As the temperatures continue to drop and the seasons change, the vibrant red, yellow and orange leaves which just arrived will soon disappear. Just as the seasons transition so do our wardrobes. The time has come that we can no longer put off the inevitable and must embrace this new fall season. Depending on who you ask fall is just the precursor to winter while others enjoy it as a much needed respite from summer's heat when the air is finally cool and crisp and nature has selected new colors for our eyes to see. I definitely view fall closer to the latter. With its arrival I can finally start taking out my boots and warm, comfortable sweaters. The change in temperatures definitely requires me to pull out some of the warmer clothes I had to put away during the spring months.
While others have finished or are starting to pack up all of their favorite summer pieces, I find excitement in figuring out amazing ways to incorporate my favorite dresses throughout the season. My favorite summer dress can easily become my favorite fall dress with the addition of a jacket, scarf, and a great pair of boots. I never let the weather stop me from wearing what I love.  So this fall I urge all of you to stop packing up your summer clothes and try fun new ways to make summer last all year round!

Editor's Pick: 3 Ways to Get Back On Track

I don't know about you but I had a great Labor Day weekend! I spent time with family and friends, relaxed out by the beach, and enjoyed some great food and drinks. Probably a little too much if I'm being completely honest. So with summer coming to a close it seems like no better time than now to take some much needed time to focus on recharging and cleansing from such an amazing weekend. Like all things, moderation is the key to success and since I strayed away from that concept this weekend I asked our editors for their top 3 favorite ways to stay healthy and get back on track.  Just a little help so that I can stay swimsuit ready all year round.

1.) Flavored water - We aren't talking about your regular run of the mill, store bought version. We are talking about home made flavored water infused with your favorite fresh flavors. Try watermelon mint water, it's definitely one of our favorites but try out any combination of fruits and herbs you like. Your personal preferences determine on how much flavor you want. Gently muddle watermelon and mint and add in water, ice and stir. The combinations are endless and the results are delicious, refreshing and good for you. Without all of the added sugar and flavorings from pre made drinks these homemade options will keep you hydrated and guilt free as you drink up.
2.) Walking - As the heat starts to break, you now have one less excuse to keep you from getting in your daily dose of exercise. Try as little as 30 mins a day to keep year heart healthy and not to mention your waist line.
3.) Breakfast - They always say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and they aren't lying. Starting your day off with a healthy breakfast will help provide you with fuel to get you through and keep you on track. Our personal favorite is oatmeal loaded up with all of our favorite berries. Oatmeal is a great way to stave off hunger. Is oatmeal a little bland and flavorless for you? Turn it into a tasty treat by adding fresh blueberries and strawberries and turn you morning breakfast into a meal packed full with vitamins and antioxidants.

Say It Isn't So!

We are bummed. Really freakin’ bummed. Why? Because summer is almost officially over and for many of us this traditionally means your bikinis have to find a home in your closet for the winter. If you don't live in Florida, the Caribbean, or any other sub-tropical climate the day you have most likely been dreading is almost here. Whatever will you do? Don't start packing away your suits just yet. The good news is, just because summer is coming to an end there are still great ways to transition your favorite suits into your fall wardrobe. Try wearing your favorite bandeau top under a long sleeve button up shirt or underneath your favorite denim jacket along with a high waisted skirt or pants. Add a pop of color to your fall outfits with a triangle bikini top layered with a crochet tank or pullover. Looking for a little more coverage take your one-piece suit out for a spin under a great pair of jeans and layer with an open jacket.

Loving the idea of keeping your swimwear in rotation all year round? Then we have even more good news for you. Use the coupon code: LABORDAY to take an extra 15% off sale items. Shop great wardrobe staples like the styles below and more HERE

So don't cry that summer is coming to an end, get excited because fall is on its way!

Celebrity Trend Alert: Bandeau Bikinis

What do Selena, Ashley, Kate and Rachel all have in common? Their love of the bandeau bikini and the fact that they all looking amazing in them! The bandeau works for a variety of body shapes which is what makes it one of the more popular suit styles. For pear shapes the bandeau top helps to create a more hourglass figure and helps to even out your bottom half by drawing the attention up to the top. For hourglass figures this style of suit really helps to accentuate your curvy figure and draws attention to your slim waist. For rectangle shapes, similar to the pear, this style of suit creates the illusion of a curvy figure by drawing the eye to your top and bottom. Apples are the hardest to fit for the bandeau top as traditionally they have a larger chest with a proportionately smaller bottom half. Fret not as there are still plenty of options for you. Apples need to pay close attention when shopping for tops to find one that offers enough support to keep the girls in place. Stick to options that have side boning, underwear and removable padding so that you are always fully supported and the top is adjustable to suit your individual needs. So whether you are like Selena Gomez and Ashley Tisdale and like bright bold solids or you want to try out something like Kate Bosworth and Rachel Bilson in fun festive prints the bandeau is a fresh young style that is just begging to be worn!

The Many Bikinis of Jennifer Aniston

With an amazing body like Jennifer Aniston's it's hard to believe that she would ever have a a hard time finding the perfect suit. It is my personal belief that despite all that I have been told, that she is possibly the one exception to the rule that not everyone looks good in everything. When it comes to Jen I am a firm believer that she can wear/do no wrong. But I digress. Let's assume just for now that she is merely a human, with flaws and insecurities of her own like most women when it comes to wearing a bathing suit. Jennifer Aniston finds what works for her and sticks with it. She falls into the pear shape body type as she has a slightly larger bottom half compared to the rest of her body. She tends to wear suits that provide support in the chest, such as triangle tops. By doing this it helps to draw attention to the chest and creates a more proportionate appearance. When it comes to bottom styles her preference ranges from moderate to brazilian coverage. This may be a little too skimpy for some pears so try out a full bottom with side ties for more adjustability.

The best part about Jen's bathing suit style is that she doesn't take her self too seriously. She likes to play around with bright, fun colors and really enjoys spending time in the sun!
